SPECIAL NOTICE: Town of Ridgeville Residents:
Effective on September 2, 2020 we will again start picking up Garbage ONLY. Garbage will be picked up on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month only. Garbage will need to be put in Town of Ridgeville bags and must be out by the end of your driveway by 8:00 AM. The cost of the bags will remain the same ($1.50) cost for now.
You will need to continue to bring down the recycling bags and put those in the dump trailer in the parking lot on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. You may also bring recycling down on the Saturdays following those days from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
Garbage bags
Garbage Bags may be purchased at the 71 Express in Norwalk as well as the Ridgeville Town Hall during times noted for office to be open. The cost of the bags are $1.50 each. A REMINDER TO ALL RESIDENTS: Garbage and Recycling Bags must be closed and not left open.
Days and Time for Pick Up
Garbage Pick Up is on the 1st (First) and 3rd (Third) Wednesdays of the month. If the pick up date falls on a holiday the pick up will be the following day. In winter, if the weather is extremely snowy it may not be picked up until the next day.
Garbage must be in bags marked Town of Ridgeville or they will not be picked up. Bags should be limited to 40 lbs or less. All Bags must be closed.
Recycling will be brought down to the Town of Ridgeville Town Shop by the residents and placed in the dump trailer. It should be in clear plastic bags. All Bags must be closed.
All garbage must be out near mail boxes or end of road for pick up by 8:00 A.M. the morning of the pick up. Make sure all bags are closed by either tying shut, using strong tape to close the bag, or by using the twist ties enclosed when you by the bags.

TV/Electronics/Oil/Appliances – At the County Landfill we do not take appliances until the Clean Sweep. Some items have a landfill fee. For Ridgeville we will still take them during the Ridgeville Clean Up Days.
Appliances and Electronics are still $10.00 each. The Landfill does not take appliances until the Clean Sweep (have had several people show up with refrigerators throughout the year at the end of the month)/TV’s are $15.00 each for under 25″ and $20.00 for over 26″./Oil and filters are collected only at Clean Sweeps not monthly. Oil and filters have charges if over 5 gallons (see County Landfill Website)/Tires are $200.00/ton (weighed by the load) a car tire averages $3.00 each and a truck tire $4.00 each. The landfill accepts TV’s, Electronics, tires, agricultural plastic the last full week of the month for a fee.
Note: Fluorescent lights batteries, paints and chemicals need to come to the Monroe County Spring or Fall Hazardous Clean Up.
